Eiga Sai Screens Mirai, Lu over the wall Films in the Philippines

The Japan Foundation, Manila announced the films and screening schedules last Friday for this year's Eiga Sai Japanese Film Festival in the Philippines. The film festival will screen in various locations and dates in Metro Manila, Tacloban, Naga, Bacolod, Davao, Pangasinan, and Cebu. The full schedule is available on The Japan Foundation, Manila's website. The screening includes the following films:

• Mirai (Mirai no Mirai)
• Lu over the wall (Yoake Tsugeru Lu no Uta)
• Live-action Kakegurui film
• Live-action Laughing Under the Clouds (Donten ni Warau) film
• Live-action Perfect World film
• The 8-Year Engagement (8-nengoshi no Hanayome: Kiseki no Jitsuwa)
• The Crimes that Bind (Inori no Maku ga Oriru toki)
• Mixed Doubles (Mix)
• One Cut of the Dead (Camera o Tomeru na!)
• Yakiniku Dragon
• The Tears of Malumpati
• The House Where the Mermaid Sleeps (Ningyo no Nemuru Ie)

The event will also have screenings of Hirokazu Kore-eda's films After the Storm, The Third Murder, and Shoplifters. Independent filmmaker Katsumi Nojiri's Lying to Mom film will also be screened, with Nojiri in attendance at the screening.

Mirai opened at #2 at the box office in Japan last July. Lu over the wall opened in Japan in May 2017.
