Anime Expo Hosts Director Manabu Ono, Character Designer Shingo Adachi

Junichiro Tsuchiya to also join Sailor Moon panel; Emiri Katō, Chiwa Saito attend Madoka panel

The official website for Anime Expo announced on Tuesday that it will host Sword Art Online: Alicization director Manabu Ono and character designer/chief animation director Shingo Adachi. They will participate in a panel for Sword Art Online: Alicization that will also have the dub cast Cherami Leigh (Asuna), Bryce Papenbrook (Kirito), and Alex Von David (voice director, ADR script writer) as participants.

Anime Expo also announced on Monday that producer Junichiro Tsuchiya will join the Sailor Moon panel.

Additionally, the event announced on Wednesday that a "Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story at Anime Expo" panel will feature special guests: voice actress Emiri Katō (voice of Kyubey) and Chiwa Saito (voice actress of Homura Akemi).

Ono is the director for Sword Art Online: Alicization (Tomohiko Ito directed all the previous anime installments in the franchise). Ono also directed the Dragonaut - The Resonance, Saki, A-Channel, Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere, Saki Episode of Side A, The irregular at magic high school, and The Asterisk War anime.

Shingo Adachi has a long history in animation starting with work as a inbetween animator for Martian Successor Nadesico and has character design credits on Wagnaria!!, Rockman.EXE Beast+, Galilei Donna, and Minarai Diva. He is the character designer and chief animation director on all the anime installments of the Sword Art Online franchise.

This year's Anime Expo will take place from July 4 to 7 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
