C3 AFA Singapore Hosts May'n, MYTH&ROID, fhána, JUNNA, More as Musical Guests

Anime Festival Asia revealed the musical guests for its C3 AFA Singapore convention on Monday. The guests will all perform at the event's "I Love Anisong" concert. The guests include May'n, MYTH&ROID, Maaya Uchida, fhána, TRUE, Ayaka Ohashi, Azusa Tadokoro, Blue Encount, Minori Chihara, Scandal, ReoNa, and JUNNA. The event will take place at the Suntec Convention Center in Singapore on November 29 to December 1.

May'n performed songs as the Macross Frontier anime's "Galactic Fairy" idol Sheryl Nome. Beyond her performances for Macross Frontier, May'n has performed theme songs for anime series including Accel World, Phi-Brain - Puzzle of God, Aria the Scarlet Ammo, Inari Kon Kon, and M3 - Sono Kuroki Hagane. She performed the opening theme song for the television anime series Aquarion Logos with composer Yoko Kanno, and also performed the opening theme songs for the Taboo Tattoo and Lord of Vermilion: The Crimson King anime, and the ending theme songs for the Izetta: The Last Witch and Phantom in the Twilight anime. She reprised her role as the singing voice of Sheryl Nome with the new song "Gooorgeous," and collaborated with the Wake Up, Girls! group to perform the opening theme song for the Restaurant to Another World anime. She also performed the second opening theme song for The Ancient Magus' Bride anime.

MYTH&ROID (pictured at right) consist of vocalist KIHOW and producer Tom-H@ck. The group debuted in 2015, and vocalist Mayu graduated from the group to pursue a solo career in late 2017. KIHOW joined the group earlier in 2017. The group have provided theme songs for such anime as Saga of Tanya the Evil (television series and film), Re:ZERO, Overlord (all three seasons), BBK/BRNK, and Boogiepop and Others.

Maaya Uchida made her major voice acting debut in the 2011 Yuruyuri anime as the character Mari, and she debuted her first solo single as a singer in 2014 with "Sōshō Innocence," which was used as the opening theme song for the Riddle Story of Devil anime. Since then, Uchida has voiced prominent roles in such anime as Hunter x Hunter, Bodacious Space Pirates, Holy Knight, Sankarea, Dog Days, Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions!, High School DxD New, Noragami, Blue Spring Ride, Gonna be the Twin-Tail!!, The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls, Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, Myriad Colors Phantom World, Land of the Lustrous, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress, The Promised Neverland, and Domestic Girlfriend. She has also released nine singles and two studio albums.

fhána consists of female vocalist towana and male sound producers Junichi Sato, yuxuki waga, and kevin mitsunaga. The group formed in 2012 and made its major debut in August 2013 with "Que Sera, Sera," the ending theme song for The Eccentric Family. The group has since performed theme songs for anime such as Witch Craft Works, Celestial Method, Haruchika – Haruta & Chika, Knight's & Magic, Tales of Zestiria the X, Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, Märchen Mädchen, and The Ones Within.

TRUE is the stage name of singer Miho Karasawa, who debuted with her first single in 2000. Her major breakthrough came with her second single, "Way to Love," which was used as an insert song in the Love Revolution live-action series. She released eight singles from 2000 to 2004. She wrote lyrics for various artists after that, before debuting again under the stage name TRUE in 2013. Her debut single "Unisonia" under her new name was used as the opening theme song for the Buddy Complex anime. Since then, she has released a total of 13 singles under the name TRUE, and is noted for performing theme songs for such anime as Sound! Euphonium, SukaSuka, Beautiful Bones: Sakurako's Investigation, Comet Lucifer, Maria the Virgin Witch, Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, and Violet Evergarden. Her latest single, "Blast!," was used as the theme song for the Sound! Euphonium The Movie - Our Promise: A Brand New Day anime film.

Ohashi voiced her first major voice acting role as Fleur Blanc in the Eureka Seven AO anime in 2012. She debuted as a solo singer with her first solo single "YES!!" in 2014, which was used as the opening theme song for the Survival Game Club! anime, where she also voiced the main character. Ohashi has since voiced roles in such anime as Aikatsu!, Mangirl!, Dokidoki! Precure, The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls, Daimidaler: Prince vs. Penguin Empire, Endride, Flip Flappers, Masamune-kun's Revenge, BanG Dream!, Re:CREATORS, Knight's & Magic, Uma Musume Pretty Derby, Magical Girl Ore, and Hensuki.

Tadokoro made her major voice acting debut with the 2010 anime Agriculture Angel Baraki as the character Suke-bi. She has since voiced roles in such anime as Aikatsu!, I couldn't become a hero, so I reluctantly decided to get a job., Daimidaler: Prince vs. Penguin Empire, Brynhildr in the Darkness, Tokyo ESP, Ultimate Otaku Teacher, Myriad Colors Phantom World, Trickster, Sound! Euphonium, Popin Q, Masamune-kun's Revenge, SukaSuka, Seven Mortal Sins, Baja no Studio, and Uma Musume Pretty Derby. She has also performed theme songs for many of the anime she has performed in, and most recently performed the second ending theme song for the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime anime.

The rock band Blue Encount has performed theme songs for such anime as Gintama, Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, Gintama Season 4, and Banana Fish.

Minori Chihara is both a voice actress and singer. She made her voice acting debut in 2004, voicing the character of Aya Natsume in Tenjho Tenge. She is perhaps best known for her role as Yuki Nagato in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya anime. She has also voiced roles in such anime as Lucky Star (Minami Iwasaki), Minami-ke (Chiaki Minami), Saki (Tōka Ryūmonbuchi), Hyōka (Yuri Kōnosu), Beyond the Boundary (Mitsuki Nase), Sound! Euphonium (Kaori Nakaseko), and Violet Evergarden (Erica Brown). She has performed theme, character, and image songs for many of the anime in which she has starred, including Tenjho Tenge, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Minami-ke, Ga-Rei-Zero, The Qwaser of Stigmata, Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere, Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet, Beyond the Boundary, and Violet Evergarden.

Haruna Ono, Mami Sasazaki, Tomomi Ogawa, and Rina Suzuki founded the girl band Scandal in 2006 when they were still in high school. The group released three singles as an indie band before they made their major debut in 2008 under the Epic Records Japan label. Since then, Scandal have released 24 more singles, as well as eight albums. The latest of these albums HONEY, shipped on Thursday. All previous seven of the band's albums have charted in the top 10 of the Oricon weekly album chart, and only six out of their 24 singles failed to reach the top 10 of the Oricon weekly single chart. The girl band performed theme songs for Bleach, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Loups-Garous, Star Driver, and most recently 2014's Pokémon the Movie: Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction film.

ReoNa previously performed the ending theme song for the Happy Sugar Life anime, and also performed several insert songs for the Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online anime under the name "Kanzaki Elsa starring ReoNa." She performed the second ending theme song for the Sword Art Online: Alicization television anime series.

JUNNA is part of the Macross Delta anime's in-story "Tactical Sound Unit" Walküre, the first major songstress group in the Macross anime franchise. She performed the singing voice for the character Mikumo Guynemer in the anime. She also performed the opening theme song for The Ancient Magus' Bride, Lord of Vermilion: The Crimson King, Kakegurui××, and BEM.
