Tsubasa Kizu, Ginga Shitara, Jun Noguchi star in December play with Teiko reprisinng role from anime

The official website for Sara ni Sarazanmai ~Ai to Yokubō no Stage~ (Sarazanmai Once More ~A Stage of Love and Desire~), the stage play adaptation of Kunihiko Ikuhara's original television anime Sarazanmai, revealed a visual and photos of the main three cast members in costume on Wednesday.

The cast includes:

Tsubasa Kizu as Kazuki Yasaka

Ginga Shitara as Toi Kuji

Jun Noguchi as Enta Jinnouchi

Teiko is reprising her role from the television anime as Sara Azuma.

The play will run in Theater 1010 in Tokyo from November 28 to December 1, and in the Cool Japan Park Osaka WW Hall on December 7 and 8. Naohiro Ise is directing the play and penning the script, and Ikuhara is supervising.

The 11-episode anime premiered on April 11 on Fuji TV's Noitamina programming block. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan, and it describes the series:

The setting is Asakusa. One day, second-years in middle school Kazuki Yasaka, Toi Kuji, and Enta Jinnai meet Keppi, a mysterious kappa-like creature, who steals their shirikodama and transforms them into kappas. "To return to your original forms," Keppi tells them, "you must fight the zombies and take the shirikodama from them." Can the boys connect with each other and steal the zombies' shirikodama?! At the same time, something is happening at the police box where Reo Niiboshi and Mabu Akutsu work. This is the story of three boys who can't connect with someone important to them, learning about what it truly means to do so.

Ikuhara directed the series and, along with Teruko Utsumi, also oversaw the series scripts. Nobuyuki Takeuchi (Fireworks) served as chief director. The studios MAPPA (Yuri!!! on Ice, In This Corner of the World, Rage of Bahamut Genesis) and Lapin Track (Yuri Kuma Arashi) produced the series.

Seven Seas Entertainment has licensed Ikuhara and Misaki Saitoh's Sarazanmai: Reo and Mabu manga, and will release the first volume on May 12.
