Funimation announced on Friday that it will stream the original television animated series Ancient Girl's Frame (Tōshinki G's Flame) for the fall 2021 season. The anime will stream in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand as it airs in China. The series will also stream Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Peru, and Brazil.

The science-fiction story is set at the end of the 21st century in a world invaded by Nergal, giant lifeforms from space. Reika Minamiya, the protagonist who joins the anti-Nergal AG unit to find her missing-in-action older sister, becomes the pilot of an ancient humanoid robot known as "G's Flame." Along with her fellow recruits, she overcomes her anxieties and turmoil as she comes of age.

The cast includes:

Rie Takahashi as Reika Minamiya

Aya Suzaki as Luna Mariano Perez Lupiano

Hiromi Igarashi as Akhena Hakim

Kaori Ishihara as Jotis Pearl

Arisa Nakada as Eyre

Ayana Taketatsu as Reiu Minamiya

Osamu Yamasaki (director of ACTORS: Songs Connection, Hakuōki, Time Travel Girl, Seirei Gensouki - Spirit Chronicles, Hakkenden: Eight Dogs of the East) drafted the original story and supervised the series scripts.

Hisayoshi Hirasawa is directing the audio, and Toshiki Kameyama is directing the dialogue recording. Shun Narita (The Girl in Twilight, Noblesse) and ISAO (Bloodivores, Love is Like a Cocktail) are composing the music. Kūhaku Gokko is performing the opening theme song "Ten," and GARNiDELiA vocalist MARiA is performing the ending theme song "Galactic Wind."
