Ani-One Simulcasts Miss Kuroitsu From the Monster Development Department, 2 More Anime

Channel will also stream Tribe Nine, Orient anime

Hong Kong content distributor MediaLink Entertainment Limited's Ani-One YouTube channel announced this week that it will stream the anime of Hiroaki Mizusaki's Miss Kuroitsu From the Monster Development Department (Kaijin Kaihatsubu no Kuroitsu-san) manga starting on January 8 at 11:30 p.m. IST and the anime for Akatsuki and Too Kyo Games' new Tribe Nine project starting on January 10 at 7:00 p.m. IST. The channel will also stream the television anime of Shinobu Ohtaka's Orient manga for its ULTRA subscribers starting on January 6 at 9:30 p.m. IST.

Alongside Hong Kong and India, Ani-One will stream all three anime in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. Miss Kuroitsu From the Monster Development Department and Tribe Nine will additionally stream in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Nauru, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Island, Timor-Leste, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu. Miss Kuroitsu From the Monster Development Department will also stream in Afghanistan and Tribe Nine will also stream in Fiji, Guam, Marshall Islands, Mauritius, Micronesia, Mongolia, New Caledonia, Northern Mariana Island, and Seychelles.

Miss Kuroitsu From the Monster Development Department will premiere on Asahi Broadcasting, TV Asahi, and 24 affiliated channels within the "ANiMAZiNG!!!" block on January 8.

Ani-One describes the anime:

Secret Society: Agastia is the organization where people develop monsters to battle the heros. Miss Kuroitsu lives a busy life there together with Dr. Sadamaki, dealing with numerous challenges every day! Defeating an invincible hero is just that simple!

Kaori Maeda voices protagonist Tōka Kuroitsu, while Satomi Amano voices Wolf Bate. Yuichiro Umehara voices Professor Sadamaki.

The cast also includes:

  • Ayana Taketatsu as Immortal Camula
  • Shunichi Toki as Cannon Thunderbird

Risae Matsuda will voice Hydra's first and third sisters, and Satsumi Matsuda will voice Hydra's second and fourth sisters.

The anime will feature different famous "hero actors" as narrators for each episode, with each new actor revealed during airing as episode synopses go up on the anime's official website. In addition, real-life Japanese "local heroes" (regional stage actors who play characters modeled after tokusatsu heroes) will also appear as characters in the anime.

Hisashi Saito (Haganai, The Testament of Sister New Devil, Heaven's Lost Property) is directing the anime at Quad. Katsuhiko Takayama (Ga-Rei-Zero, And Yet the Town Moves, Aldnoah.Zero) is in charge of the series scripts. Kazuya Morimae (Haganai, The Testament of Sister New Devil animation director) is designing the characters for animation.

Male idol group AXXX1S is performing the anime's opening theme song "Special Force." All-female idol group Maybe Me will perform the show's ending theme songs "Aimai Identity" and "Destiny." YURiKA is performing the insert song "Miracle Step."

The Tribe Nine anime will premiere on January 10 on Tokyo MX at 10:30 p.m. JST. The series will also air on BS11, TV Aichi, and Sun TV. The anime will stream on d Anime Store and other services.

Funimation is co-producing the anime. Yu Aoki is directing the anime at Liden Films. Michiko Yokote is supervising the series scripts, and Yosuke Yabumoto is adapting Rui Komatsuzaki (Danganronpa franchise) and Simadoriru's original character designs for animation. Masafumi Takada (Danganronpa franchise) is composing the music, and Lantis is producing the music. Kazutaka Kodaka (Danganronpa franchise) is credited with the original story concept, and Akatsuki's Shūhei Yamaguchi is serving as chief producer.

The project also features a Webtoon and a smartphone 3D action role-playing game.

Akatsuki and Too Kyo Games announced the project in February 2020 with several project team members from the Danganronpa franchise.

Orient will premiere in Japan on January 5.

Da-iCE will perform the opening theme song "Break Out," and Hatano will perform the ending theme song "Naniiro."

Tetsuya Yanagisawa (Shattered Angels, High School DxD, Senran Kagura Shinovi Master) is directing the anime at ACGT. Mariko Kunisawa (Ascendance of a Bookworm, Magimoji Rurumo, Hatsukoi Limited) is in charge of series scripts. Takahiro Kishida (Serial Experiments Lain, Baccano!, Haikyu!!) is designing the characters. Hideyuki Fukasawa (Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works, Flowers of Evil, Katsugeki: Touken Ranbu) is composing the music.

Ohtaka (Magi) launched the manga in Weekly Shonen Magazine in May 2018. The manga moved to Kodansha's Bessatsu Shonen Magazine on February 9.
