Liz and the Blue Bird Collectors Blu-ray Released Monday

Also Collectors Blu-ray of the film Love Me, Love Me Not, new volumes of My Hero Academia and One Piece

On Monday January 30, Anime Limited released a Collectors Blu-ray of Naoko Yamada's feature film Liz and the Blue Bird, animated by Kyoto Animation. The Blu-ray includes a 32-page booklet and an A3 poster.

The film focuses on flutist Nozomi Kasaki and oboist Mizore Yoroizuka in a school orchestra. The band's new competition piece, "Liz and the Blue Bird," has a flute and oboe duet, which requires both Nozomi and Mizore to be coordinated. But while both have been together since middle school, Mizore is uneasy at the thought of being separated from Nozomi once more at the end of the year, which begins to affect not just their music, but also their relationship.

Naoko Yamada (K-ON!, A Silent Voice) directed the film off scripts by Reiko Yoshida (K-ON!, Yowamushi Pedal). Futoshi Nishiya (A Silent Voice, Free!, episode animation director for both television anime seasons) designed the characters. Mutsuo Shinohara (A Silent Voice, Clannad) returned as art director. kensuke ushio (A Silent Voice, Space Dandy) composed the music. While the film is self-contained, it is also related to the Sound! Euphonium franchise, based on Ayano Takeda's Sound! Euphonium novel series.

Anime Limited has also released the feature film Love Me, Love Me Not (Omoi, Omoware, Furi, Furare), as a Collectors Blu-ray, including a 20-page booklet, a poster and four art cards.

Viz Media, which published the manga versions, describes the story:

"Fast friends Yuna and Akari are complete opposites—Yuna is an idealist, while Akari is a realist. When lady-killer Rio and the oblivious Kazuomi join their ranks, love and friendship become quite complicated."

Toshimasa Kuroyanagi (The Great Passage, Say, "I Love You"., Shōnen Hollywood - Holly Stage for 49) directed the film at A-1 Pictures. Erika Yoshida (Trickster, Namu Amida Butsu! -Rendai Utena-) wrote the script. Yuu Yamashita (Bunny Drop) designed the characters. Yuuji Nomi (Whisper of the Heart, Say, "I Love You".) composed the music.

Crunchyroll will release My Hero Academia Season 5 Part 2, as a Limited Blu-ray/DVD edition as well as standard Blu-ray and DVD editions. The Limited Edition will include a 64-page art book, an acrylic key chain and a woven patch. It includes episodes 102 to 113, and the story is described as follows:

"Deku, Bakugo, and Shoto endure an explosive work study with Endeavor, who's coming to terms with his role as the number one hero, and as a father. Elsewhere, a sinister group targets the League of Villains, putting their darkest convictions to the test."

Crunchyroll will also release One Piece Collection 30 in DVD, including episodes 720 to 746.
