Free: The Final Stroke Part 1 Collector's Blu-ray/DVD Released Monday

On Monday May 15, Anime Limited will release Free! The Final Stroke Part 1 as a Collector's Blu-ray/DVD, including 12 art cards.

In Japan, the first Free! The Final Stroke film was released in September 2021, followed by the second in April 2022. In the two films, Haruka finally arrives in Sydney, the dream destination for his world-class competitive swimming aspirations. As he steps into this new frontier, he is faced with his friends and rivals from the All Japan Invitational, including the current world champion Albert Volandel. In order to stand at the very top of the world, Haru may need to make sacrifices, including his dream of swimming with his friends. The project's tagline was, "Let's go, to the stage of glory."

Kyoto Animation's original Free! TV anime about the Iwatobi High School Swim Club premiered in July 2013, followed by two further TV seasons and several films, includin the prequel High Speed! -Free! Starting Days-, and Free! -Take Your Marks-, an omnibus film of short stories.

Anime Limited will also release a Collector's Blu-ray edition of Polygon's steampunk boxing series Levius. As well as the series, it will include the original soundtrack for the anime on two CDs, as well as a 52-page booklet with character and background art, and a poster.

The 3DCG series was based on the manga by Haruhisa Nakata. Hiroyuki Seshita (Ajin, Blame!, Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters) was the chief director for the anime, while Keisuke Ide (Ajin unit director) directed the anime at Polygon Pictures. Hiroshi Seko (Attack on Titan: Lost Girls, Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign, Ajin) was in charge of series composition, and also wrote scripts alongside Kenta Ihara (Saga of Tanya the Evil, Vinland Saga). Yuki Moriyama (Knights of Sidonia, Ajin, Blame!) was the character designer, and Naoya Tanaka and Ferdinando Patulli were credited for production design.

Anime Limited will also release standard Blu-ray and DVD editions of loundraw's film Summer Ghost. Anime Limited describes the film as follows:

"A group of high-school students light fireworks in the hope of awaking the ghost of a young woman who has been sighted over several years. Each of the friends has a reason for being there, and on one night the living and the dead are joined together."

The 40-minute film opened in Japan in November 2021. The story developed from a single illustration that loundraw had drawn. In addition to directing, loundraw also drafted the original character designs, and Flat Studio, the studio loundraw established in 2019, animated the film.

MVM will release a standard Blu-ray edition of the 2005 Studio Gonzo series Trinity Blood. The series takes place in the distant future. The war between the vampires and the humans continues. A priest called Peter Abel Nightroad travels through the countries as a representative for the Vaticans. However, he is also part of "Ax", a special operations group controlled by the Cardinal Catherina. His encounter with a young girl called Esther will determine the struggle between the human race and the vampires.

Anime Limited will also release the first season of March comes in like a lion in two separate standard Blu-ray volumes. (The first volume is pictured.) Part 1 will carry the first eleven episodes, and Part 2 will carry episodes 12 to 22.

Anime Limited will also release the second volume of a standard Blu-ray edition of Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online. It will carry episodes 7 to 12 of the series. Anime Limited describes the story:

"The Second Squad Jam is to going be held and Karen's friend, Miyu, decides to join her in the battle royale. Converting her avatar from another VRMMORPG, she joins Gun Gale Online as Fukaziroh. As the Squad Jam approaches, LLENN becomes nervous about taking Pitohui down. Before she faces off with Pitohui, LLENN makes a big decision!"

Anime Limited will also release the second season of Polygon's series Ajin: Demi-Human as a standard Blu-ray.
