There will be cinemas screenings of One Piece Film Red in August, on August 14 in London and on August 17 at cinemas in "The Light" cinema chain.

The film will have a subtitled screening at London's BFI IMAX cinema near Waterloo station on Monday August 14 at 5.30 p.m. Attendees of the screening will be given collectable gifts and have the option of purchasing the Blu-ray of the film at the screening.

On Thursday August 17, the film will have subtitled screenings at the following Light cinemas: Addlestone (8.10 p.m.), Banbury (4.15 p.m.), (7.50 p.m.) Bradford (8.30 p.m.), Bolton (7.50 p.m.) Cambridge (8 p.m.), Redhill (6.20 p.m.), Sheffield (8.40 p.m.), Sittingbourne (8.30 p.m.), Stockport (8.30 p.m.), Walsall (8.20 p.m.).

The film centres on a new character named Uta, Shanks' daughter. Kaori Nazuka is the speaking voice of Uta, while Ado is the character's singing voice. Ado also performs the film's theme song "Shinjidai" ("New Genesis").

From the IMAX cinema website:

"Uta - the most beloved singer in the world. Renowned for concealing her own identity when performing, her voice has come to be described as "otherworldly." Now, for the first time ever, Uta will reveal herself to the world at a live concert. As the venue fills with all kinds of Uta fans-excited pirates, the Navy watching closely, and the Straw Hats led by Luffy who simply came to enjoy her sonorous performance-the voice that the whole world has been waiting for is about to resound. The story begins with the shocking fact that she is Shanks' daughter."

The film opened in Japan in August 2022.
