Evangelion 3.0+1.11: Thrice Upon a Time U.K. Home Editions Released on Monday

On Monday November 20, Anime Limited will release Evangelion: 3.0+1.11: Thrice Upon A Time, the conclusion of the four-part Rebuild of Evangelion film series. There will be a UHD deluxe Blu-ray edition (pictured left), which will include the film on both a 4K UHD disc and on a standard Blu-ray disc. It will also include an extra disc with bonus content, as well as a 28-page art booklet and five character art cards. This edition is exclusive to alltheanime.com.

There will also be a Blu-ray and DVD Steelbook edition of the film (which will also include a disc of bonus features), pictured left, as well as standard Blu-ray and DVD editions.

The film was recently released in UK cinemas in a slightly different form (Evangelion: 3.0+1.01: Thrice Upon A Time) and is described on the site as follows:

"From legendary director Hideaki Anno, EVANGELION:3.0+1.01 THRICE UPON A TIME is the fourth and final installment of the REBUILD OF EVANGELION films, bringing an epic conclusion to the story of Shinji and his fellow Eva pilots, with the stunning visuals and thought-provoking storytelling that has made EVANGELION a global pop culture phenomenon.

"Misato and her anti-NERV group Wille arrive at Paris, a city now red from core-ization. Crew from the flagship Wunder land on a containment tower. They only have 720 seconds to restore the city. When a horde of NERV Evas appear, Mari's improved Eva Unit 8 must intercept. Meanwhile, Shinji, Asuka, and Rei (Provisional Name) wander about Japan."

Anime Limited will also release a Collector's Blu-ray edition of the 2021 film Hula Fulla Dance. The story is described as following:

"Hiwa Natsunagi is a high school student living in Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture. Worried about what to do with her life after graduation, she spots a poster for Spa Resort Hawaiians - the "Hawaii of Tohoku", a place where her sister used to work - and applies to their hula dancer campaign on a whim. Despite her lack of experience, Hiwa is accepted for the job, and starts on the path towards becoming a Hula Girl with her classmates Kanna, Ranko, 'Ohana and Shion."

The same hotel in Iwaki City, Fukushima was also the setting for the popular 2006 film Hula Girls. Iwaki is also the setting for Gaina's Hulaing Babies anime, which is similarly centered on hula dancing.

Shinya Watada (Aikatsu Stars!, Gundam Build Divers, Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE) directed the film at Bandai Namco Pictures, with Seiji Mizushima (Fullmetal Alchemist, Gundam 00) as supervising director. Reiko Yoshida (K-On!, Violet Evergarden, Liz and the Blue Bird) penned the script. Aikatsu! anime character designer Hiroko Yaguchi designed the film's characters. Michiru Oshima (Fullmetal Alchemist, Snow White with the Red Hair, Bloom Into You) composed the music. Kaori Hino was the art director, while Masumi Ootsuka served as the color designer. Youichi Oogami was the director of photography, and Kumiko Sakamoto was in charge of editing. Eriko Kimura served as the audio director.

The anime, which is set in the Fukushima Prefecture, is one of three anime projects that are part of the larger "Zutto Ōen Project 2011 + 10..." initiative aimed at promoting Miyagi, Iwate, and Fukushima. (The other two anime projects are Bakuten!! and Misaki no Mayoiga.) The "Zutto Ōen Project 2011 + 10..." is in remembrance of the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami 10 years ago.

Crunchyroll will release a Blu-ray edition of Overlord IV, which was broadcast in 2022. The series depicts the first steps of Ains Ooal Gown's master plan apparently beginning to come to fruition. The value of Carne village and especially the political value of his alter ego Momon are reaffirmed. The “hidden” genius of his actions is continuously met with shock and awe by Demiurge, Albedo, the rest of his guardians, and even Ains himself at his “great wisdom.” His attempts to act in a way befitting the ruler of Nazarick, continuing to further cement his guardian's loyalty, push him ever further down the path of not-so-intentional world domination.

Anime Limited will also release a standard Blu-ray edition of Kunihiko Ikuhara's original 2011 TV series of Mawaru Penguindrum.
