'Sony Yay!' Launches Anime Booth Channel on Airtel Digital TV

Airtel's YouTube channel began streaming a promotional video on February 20 announcing the launch titles for Anime Booth, Sony Yay's 24-hour anime channel on Airtel Digital TV. The channel will stream Naruto, Kochikame, Sergeant Keroro, Naruto Shippūden, Black Clover, and Demon Slayer.
The ad-free channel will be available on on both Airtel Digital TV and Airtel Xstream TV services, and be priced at ₹1.8 per day.
AnimeHunch reported on Wednesday that the channel will feature only Hindi dubs at launch. Business head of Sony Yay Leena Lele Dutta stated that the channel is "open to exploring the possibility of rolling out more regional dubs, including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, etc." She further elaborated on the channel's plan for content acquisition stating that "Sony YAY! will continue building the Anime block and continue to acquire relevant content that lend itself to the niche yet growing the anime fan base."
