AnimeNext 2003 (Oct 3-5, NY) September update

New York, NY -- September 2, 2003 -- AnimeNEXT will take place
at the Rye Town Hilton on October 3-5, 2003. Conveniently
located only 30 minutes north of NYC, AnimeNEXT is sure to
be one of the most exciting Anime events of 2003! Come and
see why we are "the NEXT evolution of anime conventions"!

** Pre-registration deadline extended until 09/15/03
The on-line pre-registration deadline has been extended
from 09/01/03 to 09/15/03. That's 2 additional weeks to
take advantage of our $10 pre-registration discount!

** Hotel Block expires on Friday 09/12/03; Book room soon
The AnimeNext group rate of $109 is only available until
Friday, 09/12/03! Make sure that you book your room before
then. Rooms are going quickly. To get the true anime
convention experience, we recommend that you stay a few
nights at our hotel. There will be plenty of evening and
late night activities to keep you occupied.

** Yu-Gi-Oh! tournaments on Saturday and Sunday
There will be two Yu-Gi-Oh! tournaments at AnimeNext. The
first will be an unofficial tournament on Saturday afternoon.
The Official Tournament will be held on Sunday 10am-3pm.
Wayne Grayson, the voice of Joey Wheeler, will be on hand
for the tournament. Don't miss this chance!

** Added screening of Otaku Unite!
How long has anime been in the United States? When and how
did fandom and anime conventions come into existence? Are
anime fans similar to, say, Star Trek fans? What's the deal
with cos-playing? And what exactly does the word "otaku"
mean? These and many other questions you may have about
anime fandom will all be answered in Otaku Unite!, the
definitive documentary on the history of Japanese animation
fandom in the United States.

** Added Musical Guests PEELANDER-Z
PEELANDER-Z was formed by three Japanese guys as a punk-rock
band in 1998 in NYC. Now they have played more than 100 gigs
in New York City at such hip venues as CBGB's , Continental,
the Mercury Lounge, Arlene Grocery, Coney Island High and
others, and They are known as one of the craziest and
attractive bands in the city. PEELANDER-Z will be on hand
at the Friday night Concert.

** Video Game tournament list released
AnimeNext will be presenting one of the hottest Video Game
Rooms on the East Coast Anime Convention circuit. You don't
want to miss all the tournaments we've got lined up for your
gaming pleasure. Don't miss it! Check out the full tourney

** Added 3 Game Shows
An Anime convention wouldn't be an anime convention without
game shows. We've got Anime Trivia, Anime Name that Tune,
and Anime Price is Right. This is you chance to play and
win fabulous anime prizes.
