ADv Announces Wedding Peach

ADV FILMS ANNOUNCES RELEASE DATE FOR WEDDING PEACH

SAILOR MOON STAFFERS HELP MAKE PEACH A DELICIOUS DELIGHT

HOUSTON, February 17, 2004—ADV Films, the #1 producer-distributor of anime, today announced a street date of March 9, 2004 for the first volume of Wedding Peach, a charming magical girl series championing the power of love over evil. Armed with a makeup compact, lip liner and wristwatch, schoolgirl Momoko and her two best friends take on love-hating demons. But before they can do anything, they have to go through a quick costume change—into wedding dresses!

Wedding Peach is based on a manga by Sukehiro Tomita (Sailor Moon), Nao Yazawa and Tenyu, with animation produced by KSS, known for other bright, vibrantly animated comedies such as Happy Lesson, Oh My Goddess! and To Heart. The stellar staff also includes Pokémon films' Director Kunihiko Yuyama and Character Designer Kazuko Tadano of Sailor Moon fame.

About Wedding Peach

So you want to meet someone, fall in love and get married? Think again! Love is on the run as the deliciously wicked Lady Raindevila conspires to rid the world of romance and love. With the help of her henchman, Pluie, the world is turned upside down, as lovers stab each other in the back, mothers attack daughters, and best friends try to rip each other's throats out.

Armed with a mysterious ruby ring left by her mother, the unsuspecting Momoko finds herself caught in the middle of this cosmic battle. She's cute, she's sassy, and she's full of love! But will it be enough? Hold on to your corsages!

Who ever knew love could be quite like this?

Collector's Edition Available! The first volume of Wedding Peach will be available in two versions: the standard DVD (SRP $29.98) and the Collector's Edition, which includes the Volume 1: Love Wave DVD, an attractive custom series art box to house the entire series, inflatable beach ball featuring character art and a bonus DVD (SRP $39.98).
