Dragon Ball GT Trading Card Game - Coming on Strong

Dragon Ball GT® TCG - Coming On Strong

Latest Incarnation of the Dragon Ball Universe Picks up steam

Arlington, TX - The brand new Dragon Ball GT Trading Card Game, created by Score Entertainment, is making a big splash in the marketplace in the first few weeks following its phenomenal release.

"The feedback we've received from the Players and Retailers alike has been overwhelmingly positive," Jonathan Quesenberry, Director of Marketing for Score Entertainment said. "Our new game comes almost directly on the heels of its predecessor. We knew it would be popular, but what we've seen from the fans so far tells us it's something more."

Part of this excitement is due in part to the launch of the 2004 Premiere Events program. There were three Regional events the first weekend in March, in the states of Oregon, Minnesota and Florida The total player turnout was in the hundreds and players came from all across the U.S. One of the ways Score Entertainment has bolstered attendance like this is through a robust prize support system which includes cash prizes, foil decks, lots of product and new promotional cards only available through the Regional program.

Mirroring this success at the local level are the in-store tournaments. Here players gather to compete and ultimately build a gaming community. In the first month alone, there were more than 350 tournaments held throughout the U.S.

Furthermore, at the recent Game Manufacturers Association Trade Show in Las Vegas, both Retailers and consumers commented on the growing popularity of GT. This outpouring of demand, has prompted Score Entertainment to go back to press as the flood of orders coming in have started to exceed the supply of the distributors.

"I give Score Entertainment two thumbs up. They have really taken the game to the next level, "Randy Sitz, Game Buyer for Southern Hobby Supply, said. "I'm very excited to see Super 17 Saga when it comes out."
