HOUSTON, June 21, 2004—ADV Films, the #1 producer-distributor of anime in the U.S., today announced its August 24, 2004 street dates.


FARSCAPE™: SEASON THREE BOX SET

ADV Films announced an August 24, 2004 street date for the DVD release of Farscape: Season Three Box Set, including all 22 episodes of the third season of this astounding series.

TV Guide has hailed the award-winning series as “The Best Sci-Fi on TV;” USA Today called Farscape “TV's Best Space Series;” and Farscape received the 2003 Saturn Award for Best Syndicated/Cable Series (the series' third win in a row) and has been nominated again for 2004.

Since its debut in 1999, Farscape has built a large, devoted fan base. Farscape currently airs in countries around the world, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Brazil, Sweden, France and Australia. KNIGHTS OF THE ZODIAC: THE MASTER OF SANCTUARY

ADV Films announced an August 24, 2004 street date for the DVD and VHS release of Knights of the Zodiac: The Master of Sanctuary, the sixth volume in this anime action series.

The series is produced by TV Asahi (Sailor Moon and Gundam Wing) and Toei Animation (Dragon Ball Z and Neon Genesis Evangelion).

Sanctuary, once the trusted home of all knights, has fallen under the control of an evil force. Without their knowing, its new master has been secretly using his post to enact his plan to enslave the world. To do it, all he needs is the gold helmet to complete the gold cloth that grants ultimate power to whoever dons it. Will Seiya find a way to defeat this evil foe?

Knights of the Zodiac: The Master of Sanctuary (SRP $14.98 DVD; SRP $9.98 VHS) is a DVD and VHS release, containing four complete episodes in English 2.0. Closed captioning is available on VHS and DVD releases. Includes ADV previews.

MEGAZONE 23: PART 3

ADV Films has set an August 24, 2004 street date for the DVD release of Megazone 23 Part 3, the third and final volume of this riveting series.

A classic title from the eighties “Golden Age of Anime,” the three-part Megazone 23 is a refreshing blast of intellectual science-fiction and rousing action in the tradition of The Matrix and Blade Runner. Megazone 23 was anime's first successful OVA (original video animation) release and was used by Harmony Gold to create Robotech: The Movie in the eighties.

Game master Eiji Takanaka is the hottest player on the virtual circuit, but trouble finds him when he begins working for E=X Corp. WEDDING PEACH: ANGEL BELL

ADV Films announced an August 24, 2004 street date for the DVD release of Wedding Peach: Angel Bell, the fifth volume in this love-struck magical girl series.

It is based on a manga by Sukehiro Tomita (Sailor Moon), Nao Yazawa and Tenyu, with animation produced by KSS, known for other bright, vibrantly animated comedies such as Happy Lesson, Oh My Goddess! and To Heart. The stellar staff also includes Pokémon films' director Kunihiko Yuyama and character designer Kazuko Tadano of Sailor Moon fame.

Guess who's got a crush on Momoko? Takuro, the scrawniest, most insecure kid in school, and he's dead set on stealing a kiss from our hero. Pledging his aid, the evil devil Igneous helps Takuro launch a diabolical plan to win Momoko's heart and in the process uncovers her secret identity!


Wedding Peach: Angel Bell (SRP $29.98 DVD) is a DVD-only release, including five complete episodes in both English 2.0 and Japanese 2.0 language versions, with English subtitles. Extras include: clean opening and closing animation, a reversible cover and ADV previews.
