ADV Films Announces Third Batch of Animini DVD Collection

ADV FILMS ANNOUNCES THIRD BATCH OF ANIMINI DVD COLLECTION

Hello Kitty® and Robotech® AniMinis™… collect them, share them, have fun!

HOUSTON, June 21, 2004—ADV Films, the #1 producer-distributor of anime in the U.S., today announced the release of the third AniMini™ DVDs that include Hello Kitty® & Friends, volumes 2-4 and Robotech® Remastered, volumes 1-4.

Join the celebration for the 30th anniversary of Hello Kitty®, the flagship brand of Sanrio, which is enjoyed by fans of all ages worldwide and has a multi-million dollar retail presence with strong appeal for fans of Barbie Fantasy Tales Collection, Disney classics and Strawberry Shortcake.

Robotech is one of the most popular anime titles of all time with huge retail presence within the anime, comic book, video game and toy genre. It is often compared to STAR TREK and STAR WARS with its uniquely addictive, multi-generational animated serial that introduced generations of Americans to the art form and cultural phenomenon that is anime. Robotech is a stunningly animated and complex inter-galactic drama drawn across generations, spinning together hard-hitting mecha action and richly developed characters.

AniMinis are the coolest bite-sized DVDs for a new generation of hip kids. From your pocket to your player – these colorful miniature 3-inch DVDs are all the rage because they're easy to collect and trade! This new line is affordably priced at SRP $6.98, and each disc contains a complete episode of the series.

The mini DVDs double as coupons and are redeemable for $10 off a regular full-size multi-episode DVD title of the same name when purchased through the ADV Films website.

“We couldn't keep enough of the first batch in stock,” said Anne Armogida, director of marketing, ADV Films, “and we anticipate this batch of our must-have titles to do just as well this fall.”
