ANIME NETWORK PROGRAMMING DIRECTOR CHRIS NELSON TO CHAT LIVE

ON ANIME NEWS NETWORK WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 11 AT 9PM ET

Anime News Network to Re-Launch its Newly-Enhanced Chat Feature
With Programming Executive Who Will Meet With Anime Fans Nationwide
to Discuss Anime Network's Recent 24/7 Launch and Future Plans

Chris Nelson, who serves as Director of Programming for Anime Network will be the featured guest as Anime News Network re-launches its chat feature, on Wednesday, August 11, from 9-10:30 p.m. (ET). Anime Network, the first and only cable channel devoted exclusively to the world of anime, recently became the first cable channel to move from a strictly video-on-demand (VOD) format to a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week national network.

During the chat, Nelson, responsible for the development and management of the network's programming schedule and overall on-air environment, will discuss the impetus for, and creation of, the network's cutting edge look and feel, new programming blocks and fan-friendly promotions. He will also offer an insider's look into the challenges of starting a cable network, as well as a glimpse into future programming plans for the network, including exclusive plans for original programming.

Chat participants logging in and/or participating in the chat will also have exclusive access to view some of the network's new on-air promotions spots (available in QuickTime). Additional chat details, including accessing the chat via World IRC's webchat page can be found on the Anime News Network chat page, http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/chat.php, or via Anime Network's home page, www.theanimenetwork.com.

About Anime Network
Anime Network, a subsidiary of A.D. Vision, Inc. (parent company to ADV Films and Newtype USA), is the first cable channel in North America dedicated to anime, with access to thousands of hours of exciting, eye-catching serialized programming. Anime Network launched in North America in late 2002 with extensive availability initially through digital cable video-on-demand technology and has become the #1 offering of video-on-demand. The network also became available on a 24/7 basis in select U.S. markets beginning Summer 2004 and continues broadening its initial roster of multi-system operator agreements to provide its programming nationwide, helping to bring the elusive 18-34, tech-savvy male demographic back to television and drive demand for additional digital services offered by MSOs. Additional information on Anime Network is available at www.theanimenetwork.com.
