eigoManga and MTV Rock the Vote to Blend Anime, Manga and Politics
EigoMANGA AND MTV'S ROCK THE VOTE WORK TOGETHER TO BLEND ANIME AND MANGA WITH POLITICS
MTV's Rock the Vote and EigoMANGA are once again working together to further encourage and enable young people and anime fans to play roles in this fall's presidential election.
In May of 2004, EigoMANGA produced the anime live event, EigoMANGA CAMPUS INVASION on the campus of San Francisco State University which enabled MTV's Rock the Vote to spread the word to young would-be voters about political issues, voter registration and the importance of voting.
The two organizations are working together again to reach out to anime fans and young people through EigoMANGA's upcoming live event at Tower Records called RUMBLE INVASION.
RUMBLE INVASION is a live anime concert and youth rally at a Tower Records store in San Mateo, CA. RUMBLE INVASION will also coincide with the mainstream release of EigoMANGA's anthology American manga comic series, RUMBLE PAKK.
The organizers of RUMBLE INVASION aim to create a bridge that blends politics with anime through entertaining programs such as J-Rock performances, anime cosplay masquerades, voter registrations, and provide a peaceful non-partisan youth speaking forum.
RUMBLE INVASION is another initiative from EigoMANGA to encourage anime fans to be involved in the political issues. Voter registration online and print forms will be available on EigoMANGA.com and the RUMBLE PAKK comic book series. On EigoMANGA's website, political parodies were created linking current political events with anime themes and characters. Soon, an online voting poll will be posted on the website where anime fans will be able to "vote" for the next President between George W. Bush, John Kerry, and Ralph Nader. The winning candidate will be announced at RUMBLE INVASION.
RUMBLE INVASION is scheduled to take place in October 23, 2004.
