Anime Network VOD Expands into Austin

ANIME NETWORK EXPANDS INTO AUSTIN VIA TIME WARNER CABLE'S ON DEMAND SERVICE


Austin, TX – November 11, 2004 — Anime Network, the first channel in North America dedicated to anime, and one of the top performing video on demand (VOD) networks, continues its nationwide expansion, launching in Austin, TX on Time Warner Cable's Video On Demand interactive platform. Anime Network On Demand is free to all Time Warner Cable-Austin Digital subscribers and can be viewed on channel 1214.

With a dedicated and loyal fan base, which includes the elusive 18-34 year-old male viewer, Japanese style animation, or anime, is among the hottest genres in the entertainment world today. Anime Network delivers cutting-edge anime, from the newest releases to the classics of the genre. Young adult viewers can find non-stop action, martial arts, science fiction, drama, comedy, Japanese pop and rock music videos, youth culture and more in a visually compelling programming environment. Anime Network programming is offered as Anime on Demand on the Time Warner Digital service and will include such fan favorites as “Chobits,” “Azumanga Daioh,” “Peacemaker,” “Chrono Crusade,” “Full Metal Panic!,” “Noir,” “Neon Genesis Evangelion,” “Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040,” “Mezzo,” “Samurai X,” “Robotech,” “Gravion,” “Kaleidostar,” “RahXephon,” “Battle of the Planets,” “Final Fantasy: Unlimited” and “Aquarian Age.”
