ADV FILMS ANNOUNCES APRIL 26 RELEASES

HOUSTON, March 31, 2005 —ADV Films, the number one producer-distributor of anime in North America, is pleased to announce four new DVDs for April 26, 2005:

DNANGEL: MAGICAL GIRLS

The Runaway Hit Manga Is Also One Of The Top Anime Series Of 2005!

Lauded by critics as “a fun show and an interesting adaptation of the manga series” (Anime on DVD) in which “the quality of animation and artwork is impressive” (Japan Hero), ADV's DNAngel DVD series has something for anime and manga fans alike. The seven disk series reaches its midpoint when the fourth volume, DNAngel: Magical Girls, hits store shelves April 26th.

Adapted from the international best-selling manga series by Yukiru Sugisaki, DNAngel is a funny romantic adventure with a fantastic premise. High school hottie Risa has two suitors: shy Daisuke and his dashing alter-ego, the magical thief Dark. Imagine losing out to your better half! Worse, it's Daisuke's love for Risa that triggers the change. The only way to cure this genetic disease is to win the heart of his true love – but that's not happening anytime soon!

Synopsis: How much can one kid handle? In the fourth exciting volume of DNAngel poor Daisuke Niwa finds himself in some precarious situations. After the souls of Risa and Saehara are locked away in a stone he travels to the future with the help of a new friend, Towa, to save his classmates and Dark. Daisuke has to deal with Mio Hio, a crazy new student in his class who has decided that Daisuke will be hers…whether he likes it or not. And if that wasn't enough, Daisuke finally gets a day off and somehow the Harada sisters and Mio end up at his house! So much for relaxation...

DIVERGENCE EVE: CORE MISSION

In Space, No One Can Hear You Jiggle!

Anime's best-endowed sci-fi space thriller continues April 26 with Divergence Eve: Core Mission, the second disk in a three volume series.

Directed by Hiroshi Negishi (Tenchi Universe, Burn Up W), this futuristic high-flying epic is brimming with intense space battles, high-tech fighting robots, and babes who more than fill out their skimpy military uniforms.

An intoxicating blend of sci-fi and fan service, Divergence Eve takes place in the 24th century, just after faster-than-light travel has become a reality. At the furthest edges of space beings from a parallel universe threaten mankind's new colonies. But the greater danger comes from within the station itself, where someone is plotting something deadlier still.

Synopsis: Murder, mayhem and mystery hurl the young heroes of Watcher's Nest into an epic adventure that will have them fighting for their lives as dark forces move to attack. Secrets, betrayals and cosmic revelations raise more questions for Misaki – who ultimately becomes an unwilling element of a forbidden experiment. What more could you ask for than a bevy of beauties forced to put their lives on the line to answer the call of duty?
