Range Murata to attend Anime Expo 2005 to premiere (eng) Robot vol.1

Los Angeles, California (May 23, 2005)

This summer, Digital Manga Publishing will be bringing worldwide acclaimed creator Range Murata to Anaheim, Ca as part of major effort to promote awareness of Robot vol. #1. Anime Expo will be the premiere site of being the first to own a copy Robot.

DMP's Isaac S. Lew had this to say: “One of the last times I was in Japan, I had the honor of being a guest in Murata-san's home. After we talked about how pimps and magicians look amazingly similar, the idea of inviting him to AX just seemed so natural.”
Regarding Murata and DMP's plans for AX: “With unique giveaways, contest, signings and other events, I'm looking to make this the biggest event of AX!, And from what I heard Murata-sensei is really looking forward to getting into plane, doing an immelman turn and making his return to Anime Expo!”

About Range Murata:

Range Murata whose work is well known with "Comic Kairakuten" and "Robot" published by Wani magazine in Japan. He was spotlighted and became very famous when he created the character design of the “Gouketsuji ichizoku” series and "Groove on fight". Some of his most memorable work in America is original character design for the television series “Blue Submarine No. 6” and “Last Exile”.
