FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ADV LAUNCHES MYTHICAL DETECTIVE LOKI RAGNAROK OCTOBER 18

Wee Gods, Big Action Propel Hit Series

HOUSTON, August 31, 2005 —ADV Films, the number one producer-distributor of anime in North America, is pleased to announce the launch of Mythical Detective Loki Ragnarok, the highly-anticipated anime series from the creator of Tactics. The first DVD in the seven volume series, Gods and Detectives, will hit store shelves October 18.

Mythical Detective Loki Ragnarok is a gripping fantasy adventure based on the original manga series by Sakura Kinoshita (Tactics) and produced by fan-favorite Studio DEEN (Getbackers, You're Under Arrest). Loki combines Norse mythology and the modern whodunit for a winning blend of action, mystery, and soap opera. Great character designs and excellent animation helped make this 26 episode series a hit on Japanese television.

Synopsis: Loki is a Norse God banished to Earth by Odin. He's forced to live in exile in a little boy's body but with all the powers of a god. So with this knowledge, Loki runs a private detective agency. Along side with his trusted assistant, Yamino, and a beautiful high school girl, Mayura, who has a compulsive addiction to solve any mystery, they set out to shine a light into the deepest corners of the paranormal. But one metaphysical mystery remains: just what in the Heavens has Loki done to find himself banished to Earth? How can he return to Asgard? And why do the other Norse Gods want a piece of him?

Mythical Detective Loki Ragnarok: God & Detectives (SRP $29.98 DVD) is a DVD-only release including episodes one through four, presented in both English 5.1 and Japanese 2.0 with English subtitles. Video extras include a Character Art Gallery and an “Actors Talk” segment with Seiyuu Yuriko Fuchizaki (Loki) and Takehito Kayasu (Frey), plus clean opening animation, clean closing animation, and previews of upcoming ADV Films releases.
