Kotobukiya Announces Plans for SDCC

Tokyo, Japan June 28, 2006 – Kotobukiya announces their plans for the 2006 Comic Con International: San Diego (SDCC), highlighted by a Convention Exclusive PVC Statue of Sera-Chan!



Continuing Kotobukiya¡Çs series of sculptures based on the art of master illustrator Shunya Yamashita, the new BLONDE BISHOUJO BOMBSHELL Limited Edition was specially created by Yamashita-san with the traditional ComiCon logo color scheme in mind. Sculpted by Mitumasa Yosizawa, this striking piece stands over 10¡É tall, and includes a base printed with a statement of production limitation. This exclusive collectible is strictly limited to only 1000 pieces; 500 of which will be made available for fans to purchase at Kotobukiya¡Çs SDCC booth #2301. Priced at only $40, it is expected to be a highly sought after statue by manga/anime fans, as well as collectors of high quality statues.



When visiting the booth, be sure to sign up for Kotobukiya¡Çs first ever international fan club: The KOTO CLUB! Club members will receive exclusive news, photographs, sneak peeks, and more! Club membership is free, and on-site registrants will also receive a free gift as a bonus!



Kotobukiya will also have a variety of Square Enix Action Figures, Merchandise and high end Jewelry for sale, from such properties as FINAL FANTASY VII: ADVENT CHILDREN, FINAL FANTASY X, KINGDOM HEARTS, and many others. Most of the jewelry has never been made available for sale outside of Japan, so this may be the only opportunity for many fans to acquire these accessories!



Kotobukiya will also debut new products as part of their exhibition, as well as provide even more free gifts for their fans! The excitement begins at Booth #2401 starting with SDCC Preview Night on Wednesday July 19th and running through Sunday July 23rd.

Shunya Yamashita worked as a character and weapons designer at Square Enix and he was the lead character designer of "Depth Fantasia". His most recent video game work is Makai Kingdom for PlayStation 2.
