Region Free to hold shikishi auction at Comic-Con
Autograph Boards by anime industry pros as well as Japanese voice actors offered
San Francisco, CA, July 17, 2006 - Region Free Japan Artist Network, a company that offers Japanese artist referrals and management as well as manga/anime translation services, has announced that they will be holding a silent auction of shikishi (autograph boards) at Booth 230-232 at the San Diego Comic-Con. The shikishi were drawn and signed by the following artists and voice actors:
Orine Fukushima
Voice Actress and Manager of the Water Orion voice talent firm, Ms. Fukushima will be at our booth on Saturday from 4-6pm signing autographs. Her roles include: Young Guts in Berserk, Yanbo in Yanbo Ninbo, Tombo, Miss Stew in Parappa the Rapper TV as well as appearing in Early Reins and Haunted Junction.
Masahiro Kimura
Animator and Mechanical Designer whose credits include: Battle Angel, Black Lagoon, Gungrave, Roujin Z, and Sousei no Aquarion.
Akemi Kobayashi
Character Designer and Animation Director whose credits include: Prétear, Yume Tsukai and the Air feature film.
Yutaka Minowa
Character Designer and Animation Director whose credits include: The Animatrix, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, Ninja Scroll, Record of Lodoss War and the X feature film.
Harumo Sanazaki
Manga Artist whose works include: Angel Wars, Mai-hime Shichi Henge and Tenshi no Ryouriban
Tomokazu Seki
Voice Actor whose roles include: Keisuke Takahashi in Initial D, Brandon Heat/Beyond the Grave in Gungrave, Isaac Jule in Gundam Seed, Toji Suzuhara in Evangelion and Sagi in Naruto.
Masanori Shino
Character Designer, Animation Director and Storyboard artist whose credits include: Gungrave, Sol Bianca, Fighting Spirit, and two Inuyasha films. He has also done Gundam illustrations for Bandai merchandise.
Kazuhiro Soeta
Character Designer and Animation Director, Storyboard Artist and Animator whose credits include: Record of Lodoss War, Ryu Knight, The Animatrix, Steamboy, Monster. He also created the original manga Vampire AKIBA!
Kappei Yamaguchi
Voice Actor whose roles include: Inuyasha in Inuyasha, Rhint in Cowboy Bebop, Flex in Silent Moebius, Shesta in Escaflowne, and the male Ranma Saotome in Ranma 1/2.
Nobuteru Yuuki
Character Designer and Animation Director whose credits include: Record of Lodoss War, Battle Angel Alita, Heat Guy J and the Escaflowne feature film.

EVENT DETAILS: The silent auction will be held at the Region Free booth (230-232) in the main exhibit hall at the San Diego Comic-Con. The auction opens on Wednesday, July 19th, and is tentatively scheduled to conclude on Saturday, July 22nd. Sealed bids for the works can be placed during normal exhibit hours. When the auction closes, the bids will be opened and the works made available for purchase to the highest bidders.
