BREAKS NEW GROUND IN SOUTH AMERICA & EUROPE

IMMERSIVE VISUAL AND MUSICAL EXPERIENCE IS

THE FIRST OF ITS KIND IN BRAZIL AND UK

MAJOR CORPORATE SPONSORS AND LATIN AMERICAN GOVERNMENT TO SUPPORT AND WELCOME GROUND-BREAKING MULTIMEDIA CONCERT EVENT

LOS ANGELES – November 8, 2006 - Having already played to over 40,000 people, making it the largest and most successful video game concert in the world – Video Games Live will continue its ground-breaking world tour by performing the first ever video game music concerts in South America and England. On November 12th in Rio de Janeiro , Brazil and November 19th in Sao Paulo , Brazil , Video Games Live will bring its one-of-a-kind entertainment experience to the continent of South America before continuing to London , England on November 25th to perform at one of the most celebrated venues in Europe , the Hammersmith Apollo.

“Although there are a huge number of gamers in Brazil , we’ve never had a show as big as Video Games Live here,” says Fabio Santana, editor of Electronic Gaming Monthly Brazil. “I’ve been receiving an incredible amount of e-mail from readers since we published the details about the Brazilian show. They’re happy that they can actually be at this game music show, instead of just reading about it or watching parts of it online. I think the Video Games Live concert will also help educate people outside Brazil about the well-established and fast-growing game industry we have here.”

The response has been just as strong in London , home to many video game developers. “Video games and their music have evolved into our culture,” says Phil Harrison, President of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. “This event solidifies video games as the significant cultural art-form they have become, as well as receiving the artistic respect they deserve.”

“This is going to be an amazing experience for all of us,” says Tommy Tallarico, famed video game composer and co-creator/executive producer of Video Games Live. “We’re getting a tremendous response to our announcements, and we can’t wait to bring this music abroad.”

When tickets started selling quickly for the first scheduled Sao Paulo , Brazil show on November 19th at Via Funchal, Video Games Live added an additional Brazilian date on Sunday, November 12th at the prestigious Claro Hall in Rio de Janeiro , Brazil . The highly regarded Petrobras Sinfônica will perform in front of thousands of eager Brazilians whose tireless support and goodwill had sparked the addition of yet another groundbreaking South American performance.

The biggest corporations in all of Latin America have come on board to help sponsor, support and promote the world tour. Presenting the show will be Petrobras, the largest oil company in Brazil, whose goal it is to usher in a whole new generation of people to appreciate the artistic and cultural merits of a live symphonic performance in a setting that speaks volumes to people who may not normally come out to experience a live orchestra. Petrobras is the biggest corporation in all of Latin America . Intel, the world's largest semiconductor company will once again support the highly acclaimed South American landmark event along with UOL, the principal internet online provider for Latin America . Adding to the already powerful line-up of supporters is the Brazilian government and the Ministry of Culture, whose commitment to the Video Games Live project speaks volumes for VGL's relevance, significance and future presence in Brazil .

"It is such an honor to be invited to perform by the government of Brazil and many of its leading corporations," said VGL Co-Creator and Host Tommy Tallarico. "This is only the beginning of something special which we intend on building and bringing back to Brazil each and every season." Co-Creator and Conductor Jack Wall added, "I've been working with the orchestras and I'm really amazed at how hard they are willing to work to ensure our show is the best it can be. I just can’t wait to play Brazil . I’m also looking forward to London where the musicians there are known for being some of the finest in the world." Performing in London will be the well known English National Ballet Orchestra along with the Apollo Voices.

Video Games Live features music from the most popular video games performed by top orchestras and choirs, combining exclusive video footage and music arrangements with synchronized lighting, solo performers, electronic percussionists, and unique interactive segments. Video Games Live is once again opening the doors early to present a pre-show festival, including a costume contest where audience members come dressed as their favorite video game characters to compete for prizes. Other prizes such as laptop computers will be given away during the Interactive Symphony segment, starring one of the most beloved classic arcade games of all time, Frogger, celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. Two audience members will compete for 90 seconds while the orchestra plays along, changing the musical score on-the-fly depending on what the contestants are doing on screen. This unique interaction with a live symphony has only ever been attempted and performed at Video Games Live.

The audience will also be treated to a special solo performance by Video Game Pianist Martin Leung who will be performing his exclusive Final Fantasy® piano arrangement consisting of over ten Final Fantasy® favorites. After the performance, there will be a meet-and-greet where fans can interact with renowned game composers and industry luminaries.
