ADV ANNOUNCES JANUARY 23 RELEASES

HOUSTON, November 28, 2006 —ADV Films, the number one producer-distributor of anime outside of Japan, is pleased to announce the release of the final volume of Comic Party: Revolution TV. This retelling of the original Comic Party TV series offers an insider's look at the world of fan comics that's totally hilarious (and a little bit frightening). Volume three will arrive on store shelves on January 23!

COMIC PARTY REVOLUTION: THE PARTY'S OVER

“Bolder And Funnier Than The Original Series.” – Active Anime

After failing his examinations, Sendo Kazuki spends his days aimlessly – that is, until his childhood friend, Taishi, drags Kazuki into the world of fan comics. But this harmless diversion soon becomes an obsession as Kazuki is drawn further into otaku culture. In the dog-eat-dog world of fan comics, you need more than talent to realize your dreams!

Synopsis: Manga and madness abound as a group of teenagers navigate the otaku subculture of doujinshi. Trouble certainly seems to have a way of finding Kazuki and his friends. It's a good thing they have each other when things go from ridiculous to totally absurd! The dreaded “poison doijin” appears without warning -- are all who read it truly cursed?! Will these comic book kids ever grow up and get real jobs, or will they just keep partying? Incredible revelations lie ahead for everyone, so join Kazuki and company for the final outrageous installment of Comic Party: Revolution!

Comic Party: Revolution: The Party's Over (SRP $29.98 DVD) is a DVD-only release including the final four episodes, presented in both English 2.0 and Japanese 2.0 with English subtitles.
