GENEON ENTERTAINMENT ACQUIRES ROZEN MAIDEN ANIME
LONG BEACH, Calif. - Geneon Entertainment (USA) Inc. confirmed today the acquisition of the television anime series, “Rozen Maiden.” Adapted from the popular manga series of the same name and introduced to Japanese TV viewers in 2004, the success of the 12-episode “Rozen Maiden” series led to a second follow-up season in 2005 with the 12-episode “Rozen Maiden – Träumend” and the very recent broadcast of “Rozen Maiden – Oubertüre” earlier this month in Japan.

This is the story of one young boy and an exquisite doll and their adventures as they strive to help each other in overcoming their fears and the very real dangers of the Alice Game. However, in order to do that, they must overcome their distrust of each other.
Based on the manga by PEACH-PIT and serially published in Gentosha Comics Monthly Comic Birz, the domestic DVD release of “Rozen Maiden” is scheduled for a spring 2007 release, with further details to follow.
