Beckett Pokemon Expands Publication To Address Resurging Interest
DALLAS (February 8, 2007) --- Riding a resurging wave of popularity Beckett Pok�mon Unofficial Collector magazine will now be available every month on newsstands and to subscribers. Previously the title was produced bi-monthly but with interest gaining steam Beckett Media saw the opportunity to provide more information to the tens of thousands fans of Pok�mon.
“We have seen a steady rise in sell through on the news stand and Pok�mon projects such as the video games and the soon to be released movie will only turn more people on to this fun property. We have covered Pok�mon for eight years from the collector standpoint as well as the casual fan and by expanding our coverage to monthly issues we feel we'll be able to give the fans even more information,” said Mike Obert, Beckett Media Associate Publisher.
The Beckett Pok�mon Unofficial Collector magazine will continue to highlight price guides, fan artwork, product reviews and previews as well as interesting angles on the personalities that make up the ever expanding Pok�mon universe.
To streamline the production process Beckett Anime and Manga magazine will no longer be produced and subscribers to that bi-monthly title will be switched over to Beckett Pok�mon Unofficial Collector or another Beckett Media title of their choice.
Beckett Pok�mon Unofficial Collector will continue to enjoy incredible newsstand distribution via such diverse retail outlets as Barnes & Noble, GameStop, FuncoLand, Babbages and KC General Stores. This is in addition to distribution through Blockbuster Video, TOYS R US, hundreds of grocery and drug stores, and thousands of collectibles shops in the U.S. and Canada . The magazine carries a cover price of $6.99 U.S. and $9.99 CAN.
