Svetlana Chmakova and Greg Ayres Attend Phoenix Comicon
Phoenix – Phoenix Comicon announced that creator, writer and artist of Tokyopop's Dramacon Svetlana Chmakova and voice actor Greg Ayres will be in attendance at the January 25-27th convention at the Mesa Convention Center.
“I'm happy to have such fun and animated guests,” said Anime Director Cira Petersen. “They're cooler than iced boba tea.”
Svetlana Chmakova was born in Russia and moved to Canada at the age of 16. She graduated from Sheridan College with a three-year Classical Animation Diploma and is currently a freelance artist, as well as a fledging North-American equivalent of a manga-ka. Greg Ayres, the once "Fanboy" turned voice actor, started working in anime a little over five years ago, and within the first two years managed to snag two of his favorite roles in anime. He was thrilled to voice the role of his favorite character Son Goku in Saiyuki. Just one year later, he voiced Kaworu Nagisa in the Director's Cut of Neon Genesis Evangelion. Other roles include Chrono in Chrono Crusade, Negi Springfield in Negima, Heihachi in Samurai 7, Jr. in Xenosaga: The Animation, Satoshi Hiwatari in D.N.Angel, Pope Alessandro XVIII in Trinity Blood, Tsuyoshi in Kodocha, Leo in Ghost Stories , Tsujido in Speed Grapher, and Gau Ban in Shadow Skill, Super GALS!, Spiral, Macross, Mythical Detective Loki, Burst Angel , Gravion, Godanner, Prétear, Full Metal Panic!, E’s Otherwise and a whole lot more.
