Northern Michigan Anime Convention Announces Guests, Events

Traverse City, Michigan – April 17, 2008 Northern Michigan will be holding its first anime convention this May, the Northern Michigan Anime Convention, in Traverse City, Michigan, on May 10, 2008 on the campus of Northwestern Michigan College. Well-known guest speaker Tiffany Grant of Neon Genesis Evangelion fame has been confirmed to appear at the convention to speak on panels and sign autographs, as well as World of Warcraft video parodyists Baka Savant.

The event cost will be $15 to attend the full day of festivities from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM. The event will feature several unique events, including live action role play events and Mr. and Mrs. NMAC, touted as, "like prom king and queen for those of us who never stood a chance".

The convention will also feature a dealer's room, fan artists room, anime screenings, and a lunchtime maid café. The one day event will be the first year for the NMAC, Michigan's third anime convention, and Northern Michigan's first.
