Vexille playing at Independent Film Festival of Boston (Update 2)
Update: Funimation's press release (below) lists the April 28 showing of Vexille at 9:30 a.m., while the Independent Film Festival of Boston lists the showing at 9:30 p.m. Thanks, The Xenos.

The Exclusive Screening of the CG-Animated Film Vexille continues its North American festival run at the Independent Film Festival of Boston. Grab front row seats for this animated action-thriller by SORI (APPLESEED, PING PONG). Created by the same production team behind the hugely successful APPLESEED film, Vexille is a futuristic tale in which Japan is sealed off from the world and is being destroyed by a mega-corporation that has unleashed monstrous, android worms. It's up to a U.S. Special Forces unit to infiltrate the country and discover exactly what is going on within the devastated country.
In addition, Paul Oakenfold (THE MATRIX RELOADED) has created the score for the film written by Haruka Handa with SORI. The film features a soundtrack including music by Oakenfold, The Prodigy, Dead Can Dance, DJ Shadow, and many others.
In Vexille, SORI makes a return to the director's chair for this first time since the live-action hit PING PONG.
