Funimation Entertainment Highlights and Events at Otakon 2009

● FUNimation's East Coast premiere of the English dubbed version of Hideaki Anno's EVANGELION: 1.0 YOU ARE (NOT) ALONE on Friday, July 17, in Video Room 1 at 8:00 pm and will screen again on Saturday, July 18 in Video Room 1 at 12:30 pm.
EVANGELION: 1.0 YOU ARE (NOT) ALONE is the film sequel to the sci-fi animated series blockbuster “Neon Genesis Evangelion” (also written and directed by Hideaki Anno) which aired on Japanese television in the mid 1990's.
● Also premiering at Otakon '09 is the FUNimation adaptation of Sgt. Frog! Catch the debut of the first three episodes of comedic action series about a little frog on a big mission on Saturday, July 18 in Video Room 1 at 5:30 pm. Watch out world, the frogs are taking over!
● Veteran voice actors Sonny Strait and Mike McFarland will be signing autographs at the FUNimation booth on Friday, July 17 at 2:00 pm and Saturday, July 18 at 12:00 pm.
You may know McFarland for his role as Master Roshi and Strait as Krillan in the Dragon Ball Z series. Why are they at Orakon? We will have Dragon Ball Z news.
● Anime Expo will also be hosting screenings of several of the most popular series of the anime genre – including Blu-ray screenings – including Samurai 7, Shigurui: Death Frenzy and VEXILLE! Check your program guide or the FUNimation booth for a full list of titles and times!
● Attend our Industry Panel on Saturday, July 8 at 10:00 pm in Panel Room 5 when we will share our latest news and notes – including new acquisitions -- and answer your questions. Then later…
