Defeat Insomnia with Anisomania-2

Yokohama, Japan – October 28, 2009 – HearJapan is excited to announce the release of "Anisomania-2," a collection of classic anime hits covered by a wide range of artists in a wide range of styles.

Each of the 13 tracks on "Anisomania-2" feature their own unique interpretations of the songs you've grown to love over the years. Spanning a wide range of '70s and '80s anime, you'll hear indie rock, j-pop, experimental electro and, of course, the sorts of epic performances you would expect to get out of only the best anime themes.

A few stand outs you'll not want to miss: HOOVER'S OOVER doing "Haikara-san ga Tooru," giving it a low-fi, pop-garage rock flavor; ButterFlyKiss adding some electro-rock to Dragon Ball's "Romantic Ageru yo"; DOMINO 88's ska-fueled rendition of "Lum no Love Song" from Urusei Yatsura; and other HearJapan artists, like creato and Koharu Honda's R'n'B production covering "Ai yo Kienaide" from City Hunter and the sparkling, easy-going rock ballad "Touch" from et vous. And that's just the tip of the iceberg! "Anisomania-2" is full of surprises that will keep you grinning in anticipation.

In all, "Anisomania-2" covers themes from Babil the Second, Anpanman, Touch, Dragon Ball, Ochamegami Monogatari Korokoro Poron, Galiant World, Cat's Eye, City Hunter, Haikara-san ga Tooru, Dororon Enma-kun, Hajime Ningen Gyatoruzu, Z Gundam, and Urusei Yatsura.

Anisomania-2 is on sale now through HearJapan for ¥2,000 | $21.44 | €14.29
