May 17th, 2010 -- Upper Darby, PA -- Many people think of Memorial Day Weekend as just another weekend that represents “partying to excesses”. Others know it for its true meaning, which is being the pre-curser to Memorial Day, a time when we honor the brave men & women of the US Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice so that the global community could enjoy priceless freedom. For The Asian Karaoke Idol Invitational, it represents the perfect way to kick off academic vacations & the summer season with the coming of our 9th season! TAKII 9 ~Yume Ga Kanau (Dreams Come True)~ touches down in Philly, PA at The Rotunda on May 29th-30th, 2010.
As any fan of “the world's most extreme Asian culture fusion festival” would know, with each season comes a new theme. The theme for TAKII 9 is “appreciating dreams that have & will come true” for its fans, supporters, & Asian culture enthusiasts worldwide. From our “Brand-New Debut” Performer, Sinh Synthetik, to our various “Charity Beneficiaries” & everyone in-between, festival-goers will be witnesses to a multitude of priceless moments that will sure to be the stuff that legends are made of! Timeless TAKII classic festivities have been fused with new & innovative events, producing interactive spectacles such as “Yaoi/Yuri YOWZA! (feat. CAPCOM Showdown SmackDown!)”, the “TAKII 9 Show (feat. AMEN Talent Showcase”), “Makenai: Fusion Charity Benefit Concert (feat. Project DATTE Awards Recipients)”, & countless more. Of course, it wouldn't be a true celebration of sexiness at TAKII 9 ~Yume Ga Kanau~ without our world-renowned “Ota-Rave ~PDNMZ: AMEN LiVE~”, “Gaming Live On PPV: Battle Royale”, “Otaku Jeopardy”, & other festivities that could earn participants unlimited amounts of swag, while earning The Asian Karaoke Idol Invitational the adoration & respect of otaku everywhere.
While Team TAKII Co-Coordinators & Coalition Members alike have had plenty of fun putting this season together for you all, plenty of work was put into unveiling a series of uber-secret, ultra-special plans for not only the future of The Asian Karaoke Idol Invitational, but the entire Prince Diamond's NegaMoon Zone Empire (it's parent organization). It was decided that it was time to shake things up & rock the foundation of anime & Asian fandom to its core with a series of announcements (premiering at TAKII 9 ~Yume Ga Kanau~), featuring many exciting plans for unveiled dreams of rebirth & revitalization! Taking it “to the extreme” has never had a more impassioned emphasis than it does now & for TAKII 9!!
