Siren Visual announces region 4 dvd release of Durarara!! in 2011
MELBOURNE, Australia (04/10/10) - Siren Visual is proud to announce that they will release Durarara!! to the Region 4 market in 2011.
The acquisition marks the first time Siren Visual has worked with Aniplex (Fullmetal Alchemist, Blood+, Angel Beats!), with Part 1 (Episodes 1 to 9) scheduled for January 2011. Parts 2 and 3 will complete the series by midyear.
An English dub is currently in production at Bang Zoom! Entertainment, with Siren's Region 4 release scheduled to feature both Japanese and English audio tracks.
Written by Ryohgo Narita (author of the critically acclaimed Baccano!) and with art direction by Akira Itō (Elfen Lied); Durarara!! is a slick, fast paced action mystery with a dark sense of humour.
Durarara!! has proven to be a fan-favourite in this year's crop of anime, with strong reviews and high ratings amongst Anime News Network members. The series is currently enjoying strong DVD sales in Japan.
Bonus content for Siren's release will include extra episodes to the DVD version with more to be confirmed over the coming months.
