Sydney, NSW, 21 May 2011 - SMASH! Sydney Manga Anime Show, Sydney's annual fan convention devoted to Japanese animation, art and culture, announced recently that it will be host to four special international guests.

The Eminence orchestra, which will be holding their concert Memories of Fantasia at the conclusion of the convention, will debut their newest project Last Goodbye during the concert and will feature two of these guests. Set to make an appearance both at the convention and the concert are acclaimed videogame composers Kenji Ito (Final Fantasy Gaiden, Romancing Saga) and Hiroki Kikuta (Secrets of Mana, Seíken Densetsu 3). Ito is currently working as a freelance composer and still teams up with Square Enix, whereas Kikuta is now also working with Square Enix as a professional writer, game developer and music composer.

SMASH! has also announced that to accompany Eminence and these two distinguished guests is new vocalist Mari Yoshida, who will make her debut performance at the concert. Her talents will be especially lent to the Last Goodbye project, a short animated feature backed by Eminence's live instrumental soundtrack. The animation has been specially made to be viewed for the first time at the concert and introduces a touching story based on the themes of relationships, life, and moving on.

In an announcement today, SMASH! revealed that it would also be bringing in two more guests, internationally-recognised anime director and voice actor Shinichi "Nabeshin” Watanabe (Excel Saga, Tenchi Muyo! GXP, The Wallflower) and the creator and vocal talent of YouTube sensation Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Abridged Series, Martin Billany, who is most popularly known under his pseudonym LittleKuriboh. In the past, SMASH! has been host to several famous international voice actors including Hidenobu Kiuchi (The Prince of Tennis, Katekyo Hitman Reborn!), Yūko Miyamura and Tiffany Grant (Neon Genesis Evangelion).

Tickets to both SMASH! as well as Emìnence's Memories of Fantasia concert are still currently available for purchase on the SMASH! website at www.smash.org.au
