Crunchyroll To Simulcast gdgd Fairies On Its Site Today

Diversifying its library with a fresh new direction in anime, Crunchyroll adds the CG animated short: gdgd Fairies

San Francisco, Calif. (November 23, 2011) – Crunchyroll, the leader in streaming anime and Asian content, commences the simulcasting of gdgd Fairies, today. This series will air every Wednesday at 11:30 am PST with the latest episode streaming on site after Japanese broadcast. More information can be found on www.crunchyroll.com/gdgd.

gdgd Fairies will be available to world wide audiences except for Japan.

Crunchyroll's Senior Brand Manager Michelle Hwang said, “We are very excited to feature gdgd Fairies and can't wait to get our users caught up to the entire series here on our site. This show is full of inside jokes and puns enabling the audience to feel as if they are listening to their favorite voice actors backstage!”

“Pikuku, Shirushiru, and Korokoro live in the Fairy Forest. They hang out in the forest together and are able to use their magical powers, ‘Mental and Time Room’. They are also able to look into other worlds such as ‘Afure Lake’.”

Episodes can be accessed from Crunchyroll.com, the free iPad and iPhone application, the Android application, Roku, Boxee, Vizio VIA, WD TV Live and additional set-top channels, and affiliate partners.

Crunchyroll premium members will have access to the largest anime and drama selection, same-day access for simulcasted titles, no advertisements and can be viewed up to 720p. More information about the Crunchyroll membership plan can be found at: www.crunchyroll.com/freetrial/
