Kitacon Entertainment Invites You to the Formal Launch Of Two Exciting New Projects: “F.A.T.E” & “Legacy” At Amecon 2012

Branching off from its successful convention run, this summer Kitacon Entertainment will be attending UK anime convention, Ame-con!! on August 10th-12th. In support of the premier anime summer convention event in the UK, Kitacon Entertainment will hold a special panel on Sat 11th August which will be hosted by the venerable Scowny (Kitacon's MC). This panel will detail the plans for two community based video projects. Both projects will rely on input from the community in varied aspects and aim to be highlights of the UK Anime scene over the next two years.

Already announced for April 2013 – F.A.T.E: The Web Series is an action comedy spin off from the popular Kitacon 4 opening ceremony video. The three episode mini-series continues the exploits of a top secret organization known as FATE (Fighting Anime Threats Everywhere) who must prevent unrest within the UK anime community as a varying degree of villains threaten to unleash chaos. Cut off from Kitacon, disavowed and disowned by the society; FATE must work off the grid and in secret to prevent destruction. Lead by eye patched military veteran Commander Dekker Dane who is aided by lovable card playing numpty Conan the Duellist, a team of specially selected professionals (they say “professional” apparently) will join the duo on each explosive mission.

The series is jointly written and directed by Luke Dann and Iain Boulton. FATE will see Iain Boulton and Conn Torrodon reprise their roles as Dekker Dane and Conan respectively from Kitacon 4's opening video. In addition, a variety of well-known UK Anime convention figures will appear throughout the three episode series in supporting and guest starring roles. Luke Dann, Iain Boulton and Conn Torrodon will be in attendance for the FATE portion of the presentation to tell audiences what to expect when the fight against the threats begin in April 2013.

Also announced at Kitacon 4, LEGACY aims to be a fully in-depth documentary looking at today's UK anime convention circuit. Focusing on the convention circuit as a whole, the documentary will look at the hard work conventions put in to bring great UK conventions to life. Featuring interviews with various staff and committee from conventions across the country, community and industry figures; Legacy aims to provide an insightful documentation for life on The UK Anime Convention Circuit today. The documentary's official announcement at Ame-con!! 2012 signals the start of a near 24 month filming process for the production with a release due in late 2014.

Legacy is currently being directed by Iain Boulton who will also be in attendance for the Legacy portion of the panel.
