Victory for Junior Dorcin at Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series Indianapolis

El Segundo, CA (September 28, 2012) – Nearly 900 Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game (TCG) Duelists came to the Racing Capital of the World this past weekend to play in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series (YCS) but only one would leave a winner. In a city dominated by competitions of all sorts, ranging from the Super Bowl this past February to thousands of gamers at Gen Con Indy every August, Junior Dorcin, from Marietta, Georgia showed he lived up to the hype and left Indianapolis a champion. Dorcin won the YCS Indianapolis Main Event presented by Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. (Konami). Duel after Duel, Dorcin persevered, continuing to push forward and win each Round. He leaves Indianapolis with a package of prizes including an invitation to the 2013 Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG World Championship Qualifier, the next step towards the World Championship.

Over two days of intense Dueling, YCS Indianapolis hosted eager Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Duelists of all ages, with different playing styles and Decks and diverse strategies. Play started early Saturday morning and each round consisted of close calls and come-from-behind victories. The top Duelists made it to Sunday for the continuation of the Main Event. The Duels got more intense as Sunday's early rounds were drawing to a close and the Final Round was within reach. At the end of the day, it came down to Dorcin and Kristopher Valters from Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the Final Round table, each grateful for the mix of skill and luck that gave them the opportunity to take home the title of Champion.

Valters brought his Wind-Up Deck to the table with strategies tried and true as Dorcin had his Six Samurai Deck knowing that it had performed well all weekend. Both competitors displayed both expertise and enthusiasm for the game, but in the end, it was Dorcin who was able to succeed and be named YCS Champion. Junior Dorcin won an Ultra Rare, Digvorzhak, King of Heavy Industry, YCS Prize Card, and an invitation, airfare, and hotel accommodations to his 2013 World Championship Qualifier and more amazing prizes including a 250 GB gaming console and championship trophy.

Additionally, on Saturday, Joshua Bridges from Knoxville, Tennessee won the Dragon Duel (for Duelists born 2000 or later) skillfully outplaying his Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG peers to earn a special Dragon Duel Champion's Medal, a Regional Game Mat, a Dragon Duel T-Shirt, and an invitation to his region's 2013 Dragon Duel World Championship Qualifier, where he can earn an invitation to the second annual Dragon Duel World Championship to be played at the Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship to be held August 2013. On Sunday, Ben Leverett from Atlanta, Georgia earned the same honors.

Every Saturday morning, Duelists can watch the all-new Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal animated series as well as classic Yu-Gi-Oh! episodes on Vortexx on The CW programming block, the leading Saturday morning kids broadcast network in the United States. In Canada, Duelists can watch episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal every Friday and Saturday on YTV!
