Kawaii Kon's Second Guest Announcement for the 2013 Show

Honolulu, HI – January 29, 2013 - Kawaii Kon, Hawaii's premier anime convention and conference is proud to announce its newest guests to the 2013 lineup.

Noizi Ito - Character Designer/Artist

Noizi Ito is well known for her work as the character designer and artist for the Shakugan no Shana novel series, which spawned a manga and anime series. She has also worked on the Haruhi Suzumiya series along with its author Nagaru Tanigawa. Their work has also led to an anime titled after the first book in the series, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. She has recently started a manga series called Bee-be-beat it! which was introduced in volume 1 of the Dragon Age Pure magazine.

MINT – Fashion Designer

MINT is a promising up-and-coming designer from Japan. He made his debut in the fashion industry in 2006, when he began work as S-INC. From there he went on to co-create a new brand, SIXH, with Ibi. He is now known for his unique brand MINT NeKO that features cat-like characters. His one-of-a-kind designs are based off graffiti doodles in his design books, and have since evolved into over 200 individual characters that have become his distinguishing image. His work has inspired music videos and has been featured in other brands such as SIXH.

Iruma Rioka - Musician

Dark and fantastic, classical and progressive, Iruma Rioka is a fantastic singer and songwriter. Although her music may not fit into any particular genre, it does evoke strong images of a virtual world. Rioka is adept at playing piano, and possesses absolute pitch. In addition she composes all of her melodies, and writes her own lyrics. Her music will take you on a journey through her weird world in triple time. Kawaii Kon is proud to have Iruma Rioka perform at our 2013 show!
