Anime USA Welcomes Voice Actor, Mike McFarland
Fullmetal Alchemist, Ouran High School Host Club, Dragon Ball Z voice actor to appear at Anime USA 2013
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Jun. 17, 2013 — Anime USA is pleased to announce that accomplished voice actor and voice director, Mike McFarland will be a guest at this year's convention on September 13–15, 2013. Anime fans will recognize McFarland as the iconic voice of the wise martial arts trainer, Master Roshi.
McFarland began his career in voice acting for Japanese animation as one of the first voice actors to be hired by FUNimation Entertainment. From there, he expanded his creative outlets to become Director, Script Writer, and Line Producer for numerous series. McFarland is known for his roles as Goemon in Lupin the Third, Ritsu Sohma in Fruits Basket, Cain in Trinity Blood, Buggy the Clown in One Piece, and recently as Lt. Jean Havoc in Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.
McFarland also worked on anime series, such as:
As an ADR/Voice Director, McFarland has worked on series and films as Summer Wars, Mushi-Shi, Case Closed, Eden of the East, Trinity Blood, and Evangelion 1.11 and 2.22. ADR scriptwriting credits include Fullmetal Alchemist, Kodocha, Trinity Blood, SoltyRei, and the uncut versions of Dragon Ball Z.
