Anime Festival Orlando 14
Orlando, FL, 8-16-2013 — Touted as Florida's Favorite anime convention, Anime Festival
Orlando (AFO) is ready to host its 14th consecutive year. This year it will be at a new
location, the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld. With this change in venue the convention
has expanded it offerings, to include a weekend long concert series called OMFG! (Orlandia
Music Festival Go!). Other classic events making a return are the AMV Contest, the All New
Cosplay Cabaret & Costume Contest, Fan Panels, Game Shows and Video Viewing rooms,
and the Interactive Convention Experience, featuring a story about the inhabitants of Lunar
Orlandia, their new city on the Moon.
One of the primary draws for all fan conventions are the guest stars that come to interact with their fans, at panel discussions, autograph signings and Meet 'n Greet Receptions with featured guests including Ali Hillis, voice of Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII and Liara T'Soni in the Mass Effect trilogy; Jennifer Hale, the voice of Commander Shepard (FemShep) from the Mass Effect video game series, Rosalind Lutece from Bioshock: Infinite, and Jean Grey from the X-Men TV series; Tony Oliver who voiced Rick Hunter from Robotech and Arsène Lupin III from Lupin the 3rd as well, wrote of several episodes of Power Rangers. Others guests include voice actors Debi Derryberry, DC Douglas, Bryce Papenbrook, Rino Romano, Stephanie Sheh and Michael Sinterniklaas; and Actors Paul Schrier & Jason Narvy (Bulk and Skull) from Power Rangers.
From fans that have been with the convention from the beginning to those who will get their first taste of an anime con, the convention staff and volunteers are looking forward to another great year with all the fans who helped build a great a fan community.
