Mysterious Cities of Gold: Secret Paths goes Kickstarter to Fund International PC Edition

Paris, France, August 28 2013 - Announced earlier this month by game developer Neko Entertainment and publisher Ynnis Interactive, the second official video game based on the Mysterious Cities of Gold universe, titled Secret Paths, will be available this fall on Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo Wii U, iPad and iPhone. Today, in response to the feedback of the fan-base, the producers turn to Kickstarter to gauge support for an international version combined with a port to PC.

The Kickstarter
Since announcing their intent to bring the Mysterious Cities of Gold into the gaming world a few months back, Ynnis have been swamped with emails and social media messages from all over the World requesting to consider a PC version as well as an international release (the game was originally only poised for a French launch). Ynnis is now turning to Kickstarter for the budget extension that'd be necessary for the job.

If their funding goal of 30.000 US$ is met, Ynnis commits to:
  • Port the game to PC (high-quality conversion)

  • Fully localize the game in English, including voice dubbing of cinematic cut-scenes.

  • Subtitle the game in Spanish.

Numerous exclusive rewards are listed on the Kickstarter page for the project.

Immersive Transmedia Experience
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the famous French/Japanese cartoon, join Esteban, Tao and Zia in their quest for the second city of gold throughout the World (the first one was discovered in South America at the end of the TV series).

  • Explore various environments, from the deep asian forests to the heart of the Forbidden City and the legendary Chinese city of gold.

  • Use the specific skills and attributes of the three friends to your advantage when facing the multiple traps and hurdles thrown in your way.

  • Escape the villain Zares and his henchmen by untangling the riddled paths to discover the fabulous secrets of The Mysterious Cities of Gold...
