12/4/13 Breinigsville, PA – Anime Ate My Brain Magazine announced last year that they will be hosting a convention called SaikouCon. SaikouCon, which means "best convention”, is the Lehigh Valley's first and only large scale, annual anime convention.
Presented by Anime Ate My Brain Magazine, a division of Tastes Like Rock! Publishing (Tastes Like Rock! Music Magazine, Anime Ate My Brain Magazine, Tastes Like Rock! Radio), the convention promises to be a yearly high point in the Summer months of the anime convention season. Boasting a dedicated staff of longtime Japanese anime and manga fans, SaikouCon is excited to be the only annual convention dedicated exclusively to anime, manga, and Japanese culture in this area of Northeast Pennsylvania.
After a smashing debut in 2013, SaikouCon is back and ready for more with an even bigger show planned! All this and the convention still plans on being very hands and attendee friendly, plus maintaining a safe atmosphere for attendees to enjoy the convention to their carefree fullest. As always, Cosplay =/= Consent is a very important issue to the staff of SaikouCon, and the same rules and regulations that made SaikouCon 2013 a safehaven for cosplayers will be enforced just as strictly at SaikouCon 2014.

SaikouCon has confirmed the return of the Sci-Fi Photo Guys as Featured Guests at SaikouCon 2014 after the duo's very popular appearance at SaikouCon 2013! The Sci-Fi Photo Guys offer state of the art green screen photography putting guests in an ever growing collection of CG backgrounds. These backgrounds range from science fiction and fantasy motifs to comic book and anime environments to capture and add an incredibly unique spin to your convention memories!
SaikouCon has launched, just in time for the holidays, its official Tumblr page. The convention continues to utilize the most popular social media platforms to spread its love of anime and manga to the masses while growing its reputation as an attendee first convention! The convention will always feature some of the best live entertainment themed to Japanese culture as well as the best in J-Rock, J-Pop, and geek culture musical acts from all over the US and beyond.
