"Attack On Titan" Voice Actress Trina Nishimura To Appear at Grand Rapids Comic-Con

Trina Nishimura, anime voice actress whose work includes "Attack On Titan" and "Witchblade", will appear at the Grand Rapids Comic-Con on October 16-18.

Brandishing her voice just as Mikasa wields her blade, Trina Nishimura has sliced her way through the Anime world over the past few years, primarily working with FUNimation Entertainment.

From meager beginnings as the little hungry girl Namiko in "Desert Punk", to her much anticipated and lauded appearance as Mikasa Ackerman in "Attack on Titan", Nishimura's agile voice has brought her critical acclaim, and unprecedented fan support.

Fans will recall Trina's many dutiful portrayals in such works as "Claymore" (Flora and Sophia), "Kenichi the Mightiest Disciple" (Shigure Kosaka), "School Rumble" and "Yurippe School Rumble: 2nd Semester" (Akira Takano), "Baccano!" (Rachel), "Sgt Frog" (Ghost Girl), and the ever popular "Witchblade" (Shiore Tsuzuki), to name a few.

More recent work includes Luna in "Cashern Sins", Mizune in "Soul Eater", Francesca Lucchini in "Strike Witches", Lan Fan in "Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood", Sohara in "Heaven's Lost Property", Aiko Kudo in "Baka and Test", Mari Makinami Illustrious in "Evangelion" 2.22 & 3.33, Kurisu Makise in "Steins", and Gate Mamitas in "Space Dandy".

"We try every year to bring in one anime voice actress who has made a major contribution to the field but is not being covered by the local anime shows," said event director Mark Hodges. "Trina voices the lead characters in one of the most popular anime titles on the market today, so we were happy when Trina agreed to do our little show. She also has one heck of a resume featuring a wide variety of titles in the anime field."

The Grand Rapids Comic-Con will be held on October 16-18, 2015, at the DeVos Place in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan. For more information check out the website at www.grcomiccon.com.
