SaikouCon 2016 Release Full Programming Schedule

Convention also welcomes several featured, special, & musical guests over the last month

8/4/16 Lake Harmony, PA – SaikouCon, which means "best convention", is the large scale, annual anime convention of the Pocono Mountains. Boasting a dedicated staff of longtime Japanese anime and manga fans, SaikouCon is excited to be the only large scale annual convention dedicated exclusively to anime, manga, and Japanese culture and pop culture in this area of Northeast Pennsylvania. The convention grew out of web magazine Anime Ate My Brain Magazine; the sibling to music focused web magazine, Tastes Like Rock! Music Magazine. Both journalistic endeavors fall under the publishing wing of Nerdy Rock 'n Roller Productions.

The convention promises to remain very hands on and attendee friendly every year, while also maintaining a safe atmosphere for attendees to enjoy the convention to their carefree fullest. As always, Cosplay =/= Consent is a very important issue to the staff of SaikouCon, and the same rules and regulations that made SaikouCon 2013, 2014, and 2015 safe havens for cosplayers will be enforced just as strictly at SaikouCon 2016. SaikouCon 2016 will feature many diverse and entertaining panels, workshops, activities, events, screenings, gaming tournaments, and much more!

SaikouCon has posted its programming schedule for 2016 in full on SaikouCon.com, the convention is boasting 32 events over the course of SaikouCon Friday, SaikouCon Saturday will have 43 events throughout the day, and SaikouCon Sunday will have 23 events by the close of this year's show. And none of those numbers include stuff going on in The Gamer's Edge Tabletop Game Space and the SaikouCon Video Game Room as they both operate pretty much autonomously from the rest of SaikouCon. To view the schedule please visit www.saikoucon.com/events.html.

SaikouCon has added several guests across the board over the last few months including Musical Guests Take Away The Ugly, Featurd Guest Foxxy Cosplay, and Special Guest Pleasant Nightmare Entertainment! Please visit www.saikoucon.com/guests-of-honor.html for more information on all of these great additions to SaikouCon 2016!
With all this good news comes one piece of bad, Guest of Honor Robert Axelrod will no longer be able to appear at SaikouCon this year due to a schedule conflict, but... pending his availability once SaikouCon has firm dates for 2017, he wants to definitely appear as a Guest of Honor at SaikouCon 2017.

SaikouCon had it's one and only pre-registration price jump on April 8, 2016 on General Admission badges only; VIP badges are price locked until VIP pre-reg closes, VIP badges will not be available for at door registrations. Merchant registrations opened on January 11, 2016 and will remain open until August 15, 2016 or until the Vendor Hall is sold out; whichever comes first. Artist Alley sold out for SaikouCon 2016 back in April of this year. Spaces are selling fast! As of this news release there are only 11 spaces left in the Vendor Hall, so don't wait too long if you wish to sell at SaikouCon 2016! To review SaikouCon's Rules and Regulations for vendors as well as register visit www.saikoucon.com/vendors.html.
