Renta! Announces Simultaneous Release of Akudama Drive Manga to Coincide with Anime
TOKYO, JAPAN –October 1, 2020 – The online manga service Renta! (also known as Ebook Renta! https://www.ebookrenta.com/) is excited to announce that it will release the manga of Akudama Drive day-and-date with the worldwide release of its anime on October 9 (JST). The manga will be published by Renta! Comics based on the original story of the anime by TooKyoGames and Pierrot under the supervision of Akudama Drive Production Committee. To celebrate this collaboration, Renta! will release the manga in Japanese, English and Traditional Chinese simultaneously.

Long ago, war broke out between the regions of Kanto and Kansai, splitting the country in
two. Kansai became a vassal state of Kanto and developed characteristic advancements.
However, with the decline of the government and the police force, crime ran rampant.
Those criminals are called Akudama.
This crime action story is set in a highly advanced, yet twisted society, and each Akudama
has a different method of coping. The individual styles of each Akudama will collide as they
finally assemble for one purpose.
This manga will be published in Japan by Renta! Comics.
