Local Manga to Publish ri-ru-'s The Perfect Son and Prince Noir
DALLAS, TEXAS — Local Manga announced the license acquisition of two of ri-ru-'s Boys' Love titles: The Perfect Son and Prince Noir. The deal for the English licenses was negotiated directly with the author by Reiko Yamashita, a Japanese liaison with Local Manga.
Reiko Yamashita said, “what's unique about Local Manga is that, though we deal in commercial manga, artists are able to approach us directly for localization and publication.”
Maaya Matsui, a translator with Local Manga, said, “this allows us to personalize the interaction between the artist and the production process allowing artists to have greater control of their work.”
Christopher Hepburn, the founder of Local Manga, said, “we are thrilled to be localizing and publishing The Perfect Son and Prince Noir, and we are working very closely with the author and our in-house localization team to produce a high-quality product.”
The release of The Perfect Son is expected this month, while the release of Prince Noir is expected at the beginning of the new year.
