First Global One Piece Character Popularity Contest Mid-Term Ranking Announced
Special broadcast program “ONE PIECE TIMES” will be released.
In January, major publisher Shueisha, Inc. launched a worldwide poll called “World Top 100” for fans to decide once and for all who is the best “ONE PIECE” character as part of their “ONE PIECE 1000 LOGS” project.
Approximately one week before the voting closes, the mid-term results of the world wide ranking will be announced on https://onepiecewt100.com/ along with a special program “ONE PIECE TIMES” which will be released on ONE PIECE's official YouTube channel on Saturday, February 20, 4:00AM (PST) / 7AM (EST).
The current world ranking shows #1 Luffy, #2 Zoro, and #3 Sanji reveal the top 3 slots are occupied by three titular members of the Straw Hat Pirates, following Trafalgar Law in 4th place and Ace in fifth place, all rankings up to 100 will be revealed.
ONE PIECE TIMES is a broadcast program to announce results, and share and discuss exclusive findings of “WT 100” with ONE PIECE fans from all over the world. Not only ONE PIECE TIMES announces the results, but fascinating ONE PIECE discoveries will be made through the analyses of world-wide fan votes.
The first video in the ONE PIECE TIMES series is the exclusive mid-term ranking results with Kamaitachi, popular Japanese comedians who are huge ONE PIECE fans. Together with them, a ONE PIECE super fan and commentator/critic, and five other guest commentators from around the world including America, Russia, Germany, Turkey, and Indonesia react to the mid-term rankings 11-100, with the results for slots 1-11 announced and discussed one by one. The enthusiastic fans will make their predictions for the final results, and discuss the current rankings based on country/region.
The massive online poll will be live until February 28th, 2021 at 6:59AM (PST) and 9:59AM (EST). Fans can vote through the homepage and by mail-in postcards.
