100% Orange Juice Celebrates 2 Million Units Sold with Free Character and Free Voices
April 30, 2023 - Fruitbat Factory is celebrating another huge milestone for 100% Orange Juice - 2 million combined Steam game + DLC sales! In appreciation of the players' continued support, a free character, Mio (Festive) has been added to the game, and the game's voice DLC packs are being retired in favor of voicing all the characters for free!
With support for English, Japanese, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Korean, Russian and Simplified & Traditional Chinese, 100% Orange Juice is the most popular board game from Japan on Steam.
In addition to having crossed the 2 million game + DLC sale landmark on Steam, with bundles and free activations included 100% Orange Juice has reached 4.6 million total downloads across all vendors up to the present day! For that, we're thanking all of our players with festive gifts!
Mio (Festive)
A new unit, Mio (Festive) is now available to all owners of Mio, the 1 million sales free bonus character! To unlock her, you need to have played 5 games as Mio, and then clear the new Extra Mission, "Secret Santa", on normal or higher difficulty, while playing as Mio.
Izawa Shiori (Nanachi in "Made in Abyss", Pochita in "Chainsaw Man", Kafuru in "Senran Kagura") revises her role as the wonderful voice for Mio (Festive)!

Voices Have Been Liberated!
As the second major announcement, all character voices are now available for free to all players!
You no longer need to own any DLC to enjoy the characters' banter, even if you only own the base game and nothing more! This is something we've wanted to do for a long time to make the experience better for everyone, and after a lot of thought it's finally been implemented!
All base game's character announcers are also available for everyone, to give you a wide selection of great announcers! DLC characters' announcer voices are only available for owners of the DLC (apart from free character rotation).
100% Orange Juice was originally released on Steam in 2014 without character voices, and only 4 basic announcer options as per the original Japanese release. Between 2017 and 2020, we undertook an ambitious project to give high quality character and announcer voices to the game's by then over 50 character roster. The massive project was funded entirely by DLC sales, including the sale of the 3 original voice DLC packs which covered all of the base game's characters.
This was a great improvement for the game, but still left new players who didn't acquire these voice DLC in a position where they weren't able to get the full experience we wanted for them. However, we also had to consider the feelings of the players who had previously bought these DLC to support us. Under the auspices of the celebration for this big milestone, we finally felt it has been long enough since the DLCs' original release, and we're in a position where we can take this great step to fundamentally transform the playing experience for all new players.
As a result, we are retiring the following 3 DLC from the Steam store:
*Starter Character Voice Pack
*Core Voice Pack 1
*Core Voice Pack 2
While you won't be able to buy these 3 DLC after their removal from the store, they will continue giving direct unlock of the characters whose voices they contain, which otherwise can be unlocked by playing normally. In addition, to compensate everyone who's bought these DLC over the years, each of the DLC gives their owner a consumable item (up to 3 total for owners of all DLC), which can be exchanged for either 500 oranges or 10.000 stars each in the in-game Shop.
In addition, the Game of the Year Every Year Edition has been updated to contain Pudding Pack, Breaker Pack and Wanderer Pack instead of the 3 voice packs, keeping its nominal value the same.
In addition, the base character color packs have been removed from the store, and are instead now available by default on all characters.
